  • Melania Trump and Donald Trump are not together most of the time
  • Nobody knows where Melania really lives, according to author Michael Wolff
  • The former president and first lady appeared very happy during Wolff's dinner with them

Melania Trump is not around her husband, Donald Trump, most of the time, a report has claimed.

Michael Wolff, New York's Bestselling author of "Landslide: The Final Days of the Trump Presidency," spoke about his close encounter with the former president and his wife. Wolff said the ex-FLOTUS is not around Trump most of the time and nobody really knows where Melania actually lives.

"Nobody really knows where Melania lives," he told Daily Mail in an exclusive interview.

"She is not with him a lot of the times. This was true when he was in the White House and it's true now. People around Trump still have questions, but they don't want to ask those questions. It remains the third rail that nobody wants to touch."

Wolff also wondered about the former president's relationship with his wife. He was close to finding an answer when he received an invitation to dine with the former first couple at Trump's Florida beach club, Mar-a-Lago, earlier this year. He even shared what happened during their dinner together.

"They carried it off with great elan," he said of Melania and Trump. "Dinner was like a wedding party, with Donald and Melania at the head table, greeting people the entire time."

The 67-year-old author admitted that he was surprised when got the invitation to interview Trump two months after he left the White House. He reportedly got the invite after Trump was informed that Wolff was working on his third book about him and because he gets good ratings.

"'Trump said: 'That guy gets ratings, let's see him.' So, I was invited to Mar-a-Lago to interview the former president and have dinner with him and Melania," Wolff continued. "I sat with him for several hours and was invited to dinner. It was mind boggling, it was like we were best friends."

Wolff also shared Trump's reaction to his books. Apparently, the former president didn't like them, but he didn't blame the author for writing them.

"He said: 'These books you write were very mean and very wrong, but I don't blame you, I blame my people.' Then we were off and running, spending the better part of the afternoon, me listening and him talking," Wolff added.

Melania and Trump have spent the summer apart. The ex-POTUS moved to New Jersey in May sans Melania and their son, Barron, after their Mother's Day lunch. Meanwhile, the mother and son were recently spotted in New York. They were photographed together as they were leaving Trump Tower. and many immediately noticed Barron's height because he was towering his mom. As of late, Barron stands 6 feet and 7 inches tall and is only 15 years old.
