Those who have the app Periscope can view the 2015 Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala, which is better known as the Met Gala, online. Periscope, for those who don’t know, is a live video streaming app that can be used on iOS. It was created by Kayvon Beykpour and Joe Bernstein and garnered attention after Twitter bought it for a reported $100 million in the beginning of 2015.

To watch the live stream, head over to the Twitter page for the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where they've provided their Periscope username. To catch all the fun, iOs users should make sure they log in to Periscope at 6 p.m. EDT.

The theme of this year's Met Gala is “China: Through the Looking Glass,” so the stars will probably wear garments that honor Chinese heritage.

Kim Kardashian is slated to wear Roberto Cavalli and Twitter users are guessing what Rihanna will wear before she makes her appearance at the event. In 2014, she wowed in a Stella McCartney ensemble for the “Beyond Fashion” theme.

In 2013, the stars glammed up for the “Punk: Chaos to Couture” theme and in 2012 the celebrity elite were inspired by the “Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations" theme.

The Met Gala raises money for the museum and also marks the grand opening of the Costume Institute's annual fashion exhibit.

Jennifer Lawrence is the co-chair for this year’s ball. Other celebrities expected to attend include Anne Hathaway, Beyoncé, Benedict Cumberbatch, Bradley Cooper, Cara Delevingne, Dakota Johnson, Jennifer Lopez, Kanye West, Kate Hudson, Katy Perry, Kendall Jenner, Lupita Nyong’o, Matthew Broderick, Neil Patrick Harris, Sarah Jessica Parker, Sienna Miller and Reese Witherspoon.
