  • Microsoft Laptop 4 will be released before April 2021 ends, a report claims

The next-generation Surface Laptop 4 from Microsoft is reportedly being launched on April 27, according to a reliable industry insider who also leaked the entire AMD and Intel lineup's configuration and prices.

The latest information about the highly anticipated release of Microsoft Surface Laptop 4 comes from WinFuture's Roland Quandt. In March 2021, the same insider leaked the specs of the entire Surface 4 line-up. Quandt is now back with the release date and prices of all the SKUs of the Surface Laptop 4.

Quandt's report claims that consumers can expect to see the new generation Surface Laptop starting April 27. Unfortunately, it is not yet clear if Microsoft is set to have a dedicated event for the device's launch or if the said release would be done through a press release sent out to the media.

The report also confirms an earlier rumor saying that Microsoft is scheduled to release a couple of models this year with similar designs and materials as the Surface Laptop 3.

Overall, the upcoming device will sport the same magnesium-aluminum alloy and a textile finish on the palm rest. But there are some minor tweaks that consumers can see in the Surface Laptop 4, including the integration of a small compartment at the bottom of the device to provide users access to the PCIe NVMe SSD.

The report also indicates the prices of the entire Microsoft Surface Laptop 4, which apparently are from a certain online retailer. The prices, which are available below, might differ depending on the region and taxes of a certain country.

There are rumors earlier claiming that Microsoft is scheduled to hold a Surface event where it would launch its latest Surface hardware. The said event could take place in the spring of this year. Aside from the Microsoft Surface Laptop 4, the Redmond-based tech giant is also rumored to showcase the Headphones 2+ and other new products at the event.

No matter how exciting these pieces of information are, it is worth noting that they are not official. And like other leaks and rumors, customers are cautioned to take them with a grain of salt.
