Mike Tyson may have given Ryan Garcia the best advice in his promising career.

Following his seventh-round TKO stoppage win over Luke Campbell on Saturday, Garcia became one of the most talked-about boxing superstars of the new year. At 22, Garcia now has a flawless professional record of 21 wins and zero defeats, 18 coming by way of knockout.

Tyson, who was also once in Garcia’s shoes, wants the youngster to not commit a big mistake in his soaring career. In fact, in video footage uploaded by Elie Seckbach of EsNews, “Iron Mike” was seen telling the undefeated lightweight champ what he learned in the past about “success.”

“This guy told me what success was,” Tyson told Garcia after one of the latest episodes of his “Hot Boxin’ with Mike Tyson” podcast. “Success is not being a champion. Success is living the same lifestyle that you have right now when you’re 60 [years old]. Same lifestyle when you’re 60. I’m serious man!”

The 54-year-old went on to heap praise on Garcia, calling the California native “the future.”

Aside from helping Garcia deal with success, Tyson also eventually played a huge role in “King Ry’s” next possible fight.

In the middle of the set, someone from the crew handed a mobile phone in which Garcia’s next touted opponent, Gervonta Davis, was live via video call. Upon learning that Davis was on, Tyson hyped “Tank” a bit and handed the phone to Garcia.

As soon as the two perennial lightweights saw each other via video call, Garcia started talking trash, vowing to finish Davis in “two rounds.”

"Two rounds, baby, two rounds," Garcia told Davis. "Two rounds. You're going to sleep. It's not gonna hurt. I promise you it's not gonna hurt.”

“You're gonna need a ladder to hit me,” he added. “How tall are you? You're 5-foot-5. You're gonna need a ladder to hit me. You're gonna need a StairMaster. Boy, you won't be able to touch me. You ain't never fought a 135-er in your life. This is different. I don't care what you say. You ain't got nothing."

Urged by Tyson to respond to Garcia’s smack talk, Davis repeatedly replied, "We're fighting next."

Thrilled by Davis’ response, Garcia showed he was not worried about their fight and started dancing before announcing to everybody, "[Davis] he said it. The world knows. He said it. Next fight. There's no going back now."
