‘Mr. Robot’ Season 2 Spoilers: 5 Burning Questions After Episode 9 ‘eps2.7init5.fve’

“Mr. Robot”Season 2, Episode 9 featured Elliot's (Rami Malek) return to the outside world, but not before it was revealed why he was arrested. As many viewers have guessed, Elliot was incarcerated for hacking her psychiatrist's (Gloria Reuben) boyfriend and taking his dog. While he was advised to plead not guilty to the charges against him, he did otherwise. He got out early through the help of Whiterose (B.D. Wong), and now he’s supposed to return to the revolution he started.

Something was amiss, though. While it seemed like he and Mr. Robot a.k.a. Edward (Christian Slater) were already in sync before he got out of prison, they could not be more disconnected in the outside world. With all the problems they need to solve, including Mobley (Azhar Khan) and Trenton’s (Sunita Mani) disappearance, Elliot and Edward really need to learn how to work together again.

Like a fish out of water, Elliot did not know what move to take next. So his solution was to go to Whiterose and ask. Elliot bugged Whiterose’s right-hand man, Xun (Lyman Chen), in order to know what the Dark Army plans to do next but much to Darlene's (Carly Chaikin) surprise – she was tasked to listen for information – Whiterose said Elliot's the one who devised the second stage of their plan.

The episode was able to answer some questions from past episodes but it definitely made more spring up.

1. Who were at Cisco's door?

Before the episode ended, Whiterose was able to turn off Elliot’s bug so Darlene couldn't listen anymore. Just when the mic turned off, there was a knock on the door. Darlene opened it up, and it looked like she was looking at two people. Were they Trenton and Mobley?

2. Where are Trenton and Mobley?

Speaking of the two fsociety members, they were supposed to meet at Ron’s cafe. Trenton showed up, but was Mobley able to meet her? Now they’re both missing. Did the FBI take them? Was it the Dark Army?

3. What did Cisco (Michael Drayer) see at Susan’s (Sandrine Holt) house?

Cisco went back to Susan’s house, which fsociety used as a headquarters for some time, to look for a VHS tape of Darlene as the fsociety mascot. Before he left the house, he saw something. What was it?

4. What is Joanna’s plan?

Much to Elliot's surprise and confusion, Joanna Wellick (Stephanie Corneliussen) was waiting outside his apartment. Joanna was inside Tyrell's (Martin Wallstrom) car. Viewers would remember that Elliot woke up three days after the 9/5 hack inside Tyrell’s car but the E Corp executive was no longer there.

5. Will Elliot ever find out what his plans are?

There are a lot of lapses in Elliot's memory, but it’s crunch time and he would need to know what to do next. Will he be able to remember what his plans are?
