Earlier reports from reliable "Genshin Impact" insiders had suggested that Raiden Shogun or Baal would be released as a playable character in Update 2.1. It was also claimed that Baal would be the first featured character banner in the next patch. However, if industry insider Genshin Report is to be believed, gamers will have to wait a little longer before they could get their hands on the powerful character.

The insider revealed on Twitter that Baal would not be playable in the next patch. They added that miHoYo has other characters planned for the "Genshin Impact" update 2.1. The insider, however, said that this information could still change, but so far, "that's what I've been told."

Raiden Shogun or Baal is one of the highly anticipated "Genshin Impact" characters because of her powers. She is known in the game's lore as the God of Eternity who resides in the recently launched region of Inazuma. Baal is a member of The Seven and is an Electro Archon.

Baal is also described as a strict ruler with almost absolute command over the people she lords over. She is a stern character with immense ideals and believes that eternity is the be-all and end-all. Baal also sees Visions as the gateway to achieve divinity.

In the "Genshin Impact" lore, Baal is the one behind the hunting of Vision holders in Inazuma. She judges the captured Vision holders and deals them with punishments if they refuse to give up Visions. This is one of the reasons why miHoYo has not rolled out a single Electro character since it launched "Genshin Impact."

For fans wondering what Baal or Raiden Shogun looks like, industry insider Lumie shared a sneak peek of the character on Twitter. Leaked images also gave a hint about her abilities and weapon as they showed her donning elegant robes and wielding a samurai sword. Since Baal is the Archon of Inazuma, she is said to have an Electro Vision.

It is worth noting that while Genshin Report and other insiders often share accurate information about "Genshin Impact," these details about Baal or Raiden Shogun are not official. MiHoYo might still make some changes to Baal before she is finally launched as a playable character in the game. Fans should, therefore, take this leak with skepticism.
