American coffee enthusiasts have reasons to rejoice not only on National Coffee Day -- Sept. 29 -- but for the whole week following. While most chains gave away coffees only on Thursday, some have extended the free deals until Wednesday.

According to an update, McDonald's is giving away small cups of its Premium Roast Coffee to customers at its northeast Florida, southeast Georgia and Gainesville, Fla., restaurants, through Sunday.

The promotion serves as a thank you to loyal customers and a lead-in to its $1, any size, any time coffee offer that begins Monday.

The Caribou Coffee chain is offering a buy one, get one free deal on beverages with an online coupon. Barnes and Noble members can also get the same deal on the Starbucks coffee sold in its stores, with an online coupon valid until Wednesday.

Publix supermarkets are celebrating the Coffee Day with a buy one, get one free deal on 12-ounce bags of Eight O' Clock coffee all this week.

If you're not inclined to celebrate the day in a coffee shop, you can get free packages delivered at your doorstep.

Kikkoman, the Japanese soy sauce company, offers a free jar of Kikkoman Pearl Organic Soymilk Coffee to its fans on Facebook. You just need to send an e-mail with your name and home address to kmag@kikkoman.com, and a package of soy coffee will be delivered right to your front door.
