One of the top names that multiple NBA teams are expected to go after is Bradley Beal of the Washington Wizards. His name has been mentioned since last season but it appears any ballclub looking to get the 26-year-old guard will need to wait until 2021.

According to ESPN, the Wizards have shown no indication that they are willing to trade Beal to other teams. This will, however, not stop the rumor mill from buzzing about a potential trade.

Back in July, general manager Tommy Sheppard mentioned last July that they plan to offer a three-year max contract extension to the third overall pick of the 2012 NBA Draft. And even if that does not work out, the Wizards plan to max out the shooting guard until his deal expires according to another report from ESPN. Beal has a five-year $127.2 million contract with the Wizards.

"We need to show him that we are about building this the right way, that we aren't going to have character-deficient guys around him. We are going to surround him with guys he wants to play with," said Sheppard.

The Wizards are expected to encounter rough sailing next NBA season even with Beal in tow. The fact remains that he will need to pull off a herculean effort for Washington to figure prominently. A lot of this has to do with the fact that backcourt partner John Wall is not expected to suit up for the 2019-20 wars. He continues to recuperate from a torn Achilles injury that he suffered from a fall at home.

One team hotly linked to Beal is the Miami Heat. The South Beach squad is currently trying to overhaul their lineup by ridding themselves of high-salaried players who have failed to pan up to expectations. In a previous report, it was mentioned how they were willing to take in the Wizards duo of Beal and Wall.

For Beal, he admitted that he was flattered with the interest in him by other NBA teams. However, he seems fine with where he is right now and mentioned in another previous post that he is not a fan of change and starting over.

Things change in the NBA so it will be interesting how Beal trade rumors will flow this 2019-20 NBA season. As far as the Wizards are concerned, the Heat or any other team that wants him will have to wait until his current deal runs out.
