Alex Quinn's past will be revealed in “NCIS” Season 14, episode 5. Watch the episode on Tuesday, Oct. 18 at 8 p.m. EDT on CBS. CBS

CBS’ “NCIS” premiered an episode this week in which Senior NCIS Agent Timothy McGee (Sean Murray) finally propsed to his long-time girlfriend Delilah (Fielding (Margo Harshman). And she said yes! Let the wedding plans begin.

Next week on TV’s most watched drama, the team will travel to Philadelphia in order to solve a case. The synopsis (via SpoilerTV) of Season 14, episode 5, suitably titled “Philly,” states that Gibbs (Mark Harmon) will once again work with MI6 Officer Clayton Reeves (Henry Duane).

The episode kicks off with the murder of a petty office. The team realizes that this murder has a strong connection to a missing MI6 Officer. This prompts Gibbs, Alex Quinn (Jennifer Esposito) and Bishop (Emily Wickersham) to head to Philadelphia and work with Reeves in order to nab the killer.

Episode 5 will be an extremely emotional episode for Quinn since she will recount the NCIS case that made her leave field work. The promo teases that someone close to Quinn died during a case and the experience encouraged her to switch to a desk job. She tells Gibbs, “You don’t know anything until you walk in my shoes.” The agent looks clearly shaken up.

However, the upcoming “NCIS” episode won’t be all tears and trauma. The episode is laced with humor from agent Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) and the newly engaged McGee.

Former NFL Player Studio Analyst for “The NFL Today,” Tony Gonzalez, will guest-star in this episode as NCIS Special Agent Tony Francis.

It’s also safe to assume that “NCIS” fans will get to see some of Bishop and Quinn’s blossoming friendship as the two solve the case together. Fans will learn more about Quinn’s past and personality on the CBS series.
