It’s time for the “NCIS” team to saddle up. The CBS show returns from a short break with a brand new episode in Season 4 next week. Last time we saw the procedural; a murder investigation was linked to an undercover operation agent Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) conducted years ago. Viewers got to know that he went deep undercover in a dirt bike gang.

Fortunately, the investigation came to a close and the real culprit was caught.

What will happen next week on “NCIS”?

According to the episode synopsis on TVGuide, a marine Sergeant will be found dead in a national park. This will force Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and his team to partner up with Mounted Police Sergeant May Dawson. Dawson’s character will be played by “Law & Order” alum Elisabeth Röhm. Together, they will solve a string of related crimes that took place in the park in Season 14, episode 22. This episode is titled “Beastmaster.”

Moreover, there are now only three episodes left to air in “NCIS” Season 14.

The long-running series’ showrunner, Frank Cardea, provided some spoilers about this episode to TVLine. The national park’s name is Rock Creek Park. Additionally, Mark Harmon saddles up and is seen riding a horse during the course of this episode. “Mark [Harmon] is a great horseman, and he actually rides in the episode,” he revealed.

Then, in episode 23, McGee (Sean Murray) and Delilah (Margo Harshman) walk down the aisle. However, in “Something Blue,” while getting married the couple faces some issues. Showrunner George Schenck said, “There are hitches.”

Finally, in the Season 14 finale (episode 24), which airs on May 16, the team is called to investigate a case when the severed hand of a Navy SEAL is found in Paraguay. The catch? This Navy SEAL was believed to be on vacation somewhere else not in Paraguay! Hence, in “Rendezvous,” Gibbs, McGee and Torres hop on a flight to a remote part of Paraguay, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Trouble brews for the trio when they discover that their destination is controlled by a group of bad guys. Schenck teases, “As the team searches for the missing Navy SEAL, the mission takes a drastic turn.” Cardea added, ““Gibbs is forced to make a shocking and life-changing decision.”

As we reported earlier, the Season 14 finale ends on a cliff-hanger of sorts with Gibbs making a crucial decision. The action-packed episode will affect all three NCIS members.

Although Season 14 is coming to an end, “NCIS” fans will be happy to know that the show has already been renewed for another season.

“NCIS” airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EDT on CBS. Season 14, episode 23 will air on May 9 and the season finale premieres on May 16. There are only three episodes left for Season 14 to take a bow. Season 15 will air in the fall.
