Four teams sit alone atop their respective divisions at the start of Week 4 in the early 2018 NFL standings. The Los Angeles Rams (3-0), Chicago Bears (2-1), Kansas City Chiefs (3-0) and Miami Dolphins (3-0) all have sole possession of first place.

The Rams, Chiefs and Dolphins are the only three remaining undefeated teams in football. Los Angeles leads the league with a plus-66 point differential, while Kansas City is third at plus-26. Miami has a plus-23 point differential, though they haven’t won a game by more than one score.

Miami is probably the most surprising first-place team. They aren’t simply ahead of the New England Patriots (1-2) in the division—they’ve got a two-game lead over the defending AFC East champions. The Dolphins visit the Patriots Sunday afternoon in a key divisional matchup. Miami won the AFC East in 2008 in the only season since 2003 in which New England didn’t win the division.

Chicago has a half-game lead in the NFC North, which is the NFL’s only division that doesn’t have at least two teams with a winning record. The Bears are ahead of the Green Bay Packers (1-1-1), who defeated Chicago in Week 1. The Minnesota Vikings (1-1-1) would be in first place if they didn’t suffer the biggest upset in recent memory when they were inexplicably blown out by the Buffalo Bills (1-2) in Week 3.

After getting three teams into last year’s playoffs, the NFC South is the only division with three teams that sit above .500. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-1), New Orleans Saints (2-1), Carolina Panthers (2-1) are in a three-way tie. The Atlanta Falcons (1-2) are in last place after losing in overtime to New Orleans. Atlanta defeated Carolina in Week 2 and failed to score a game-winning touchdown near the goal line against the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles (2-1) in the season opener.

Philadelphia is tied with the Washington Redskins (2-1) atop the NFC East. The Dallas Cowboys (1-2) and New York Giants (1-2) haven’t looked like playoff contenders.

It wouldn’t be surprising to see the Rams wrap up the NFC West in just a few weeks. Miami and Los Angeles are the only two teams with a two-game lead in the division, and the Rams could be looking down at three of the worst teams in the conference. The Arizona Cardinals (0-3) are going nowhere and have already replaced Sam Bradford with Josh Rosen. The Seattle Seahawks (1-2) lost several key players in the offseason, and the San Francisco 49ers (1-2) probably saw their playoff hopes disappear when Jimmy Garoppolo tore his ACL in Week 3.

There are ties atop the AFC North and AFC South, though head-to-head matchups technically give the Cincinnati Bengals (2-1) and Tennessee Titans (2-1) the edge in first place. Cincinnati beat the Baltimore Ravens (2-1) in Week 2, and Tennessee upset the Jacksonville Jaguars (2-1) in Week 3.

Kansas City can take a two-game lead in the AFC West when they visit the Denver Broncos (2-1) on “Monday Night Football.”
