There are plenty of safe picks to choose from in Week 5 of your 2022 NFL survivor pool. Most of the top Super Bowl contenders are facing mediocre competition and heavy betting favorites to win straight up.

Here's a ranking of the top-10 survivor picks for Week 5.

1) Buffalo Bills (vs. Pittsburgh Steelers)

A loss for the Bills would be the biggest upset of the 2022 season by a large margin. Buffalo is the first 14-point favorite this year. Pittsburgh has lost three straight games and failed to score more than 20 points in regulation. The gap between the two offenses is still enormous with Kenny Pickett replacing Mitchell Trubisky at quarterback.

2) Kansas City Chiefs (vs. Las Vegas Raiders)

Kansas City's fluky loss in Indianapolis was a blip on the radar. The Chiefs are still one of the league's best teams, leading the AFC in points per game. Patrick Mahomes is 7-1 in his career against the Raiders.

3) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (vs. Atlanta Falcons)

Despite their two-game losing streak, the Buccaneers are still one of the NFC's best teams. Tampa Bay's offense should improve now that its wide receiving corps is healthy. Atlanta has wins over Geno Smith and Jacoby Brissett. Things should be different against Tom Brady.

4) Green Bay Packers (vs. New York Giants in London)

There are reasons to be skeptical about the Giants' 3-1 start. New York hasn't beaten a team that has a winning record. Daniel Jones hasn't thrown for 200 yards, and he's day-to-day with an ankle injury. Aaron Rodgers and Green Bay's defense should take care of business.

5) Minnesota Vikings (vs. Chicago Bears)

Chicago's 2-1 start was unsustainable, given its dreadful passing game. Justin Fields hasn't thrown for 175 yards in any game this season. Minnesota has only been defeated by the league's lone unbeaten team.

6) Jacksonville Jaguars (vs. Houston Texans)

Houston is the league's only winless team, and Jacksonville looks to be a serious playoff contender. The Jaguars are the new favorites to win the AFC South. The Texans are long shots with +3500 odds at FanDuel Sportsbook to win the division.

7) Philadelphia Eagles (at Arizona Cardinals)

The Eagles have been utterly dominant in their 4-0 start. Philadelphia has led by at least 15 points in all four games. The Eagles are second in total offense and third in total defense. Arizona has only beaten teams that enter Week 5 with a 1-3 record.

8) San Francisco 49ers (at Carolina Panthers)

The Baker Mayfield Experiment is not working in Carolina. The Panthers rank dead last in total offense, The 49ers enter their Monday night game in Week 4 with the league's top-ranked defense.

9) Miami Dolphins (at New York Jets)

The Dolphins and Jets are separated by only one game in the AFC East standings, but Miami seems to be the only legitimate threat to Buffalo in the division. Even if Teddy Bridgewater is at quarterback, the Dolphins have the significantly better offense with Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle at receiver.

10) New England Patriots (vs. Detroit Lions)

When going down the list of options, picking the Patriots at home against a 1-3 team isn't the worst choice. Detroit has given up the most points in the league. The Lions have also surrendered the most yards per carry, and New England has a top-10 rushing offense.
