The Originals
“The Originals” Season 4 features a five year time-jump. The CW

CW series “The Originals” will be back in March, 2017 with Season 4. The cast and crew are currently shooting, which means spoilers are few and far between. Fortunately, the titles of two episodes from the upcoming season have been released online. While it doesn’t say much, it does offer some clues about what to expect.

Season 4, episode 10 is titled “Phantomesque,” according to SpoilerTV. A tweet that shows the script of episode 12 reveals that it is titled “Voodoo Child.” Speculations about the episode titles suggest two things: Either “The Originals” is going to explore the world of voodoo or that Hope (Summer Fontana) is somehow a voodoo child. Either way, the show has never explored this form of dark magic, so it will be fun to watch the Mikaelsons take on such witchcraft.

Incidentally, Daniel Gillies, who plays Elijah on the CW series, has directed Season 4, episode 10 of “The Originals.” He shared a photo on his Instagram account in which he wore a leather jacket that has director written on the back. From the caption, it is pretty obvious that he is helming episode 10.

Last season ended with Klaus (Joseph Morgan) being stabbed by Papa Tunde’s knife by none other than Marcel (Charles Michael Davis). The original vampire was ensconced in a brick wall. Marcel also bit Elijah and Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic) and poisoned witch Freya (Riley Voelkel). This led Freya to transport her and her siblings into a dream world while Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) and her daughter Hope searched frantically for a cure to Marcel’s werewolf bite.

The Originals” Season 4 will consist of 13 episodes. The series returns on Friday, March 17 at 8 p.m. EST on the CW.
