  • De Rossi's message of support received mixed reactions from the netizens
  • Twitter users disapproved of James Corden as Ellen DeGeneres' replacement

Portia de Rossi has finally broken her months of silence to support her wife Ellen DeGeneres, and she thanked their supporters who are sticking with them amid the controversies.

DeGeneres has been a hot topic for months ever since Kevin T. Porter started a thread encouraging others to share their not-so-kind encounter with "The Ellen DeGeneres" host back in March. Things went south for DeGeneres when several employees complained about the show's toxic workplace. In fact, WarnerMedia has subjected the show to an internal investigation after receiving too many complaints from former and current staffers. De Rossi has never reacted to the issue, but she finally broke her silence on Monday.

"I Stand By Ellen," de Rossi's message on Instagram read.

"To all our fans....we see you. Thank you for your support. #stopbotattacks #IStandWithEllenDeGeneres #IStandByEllen #IstandByEllenDeGeneres," she wrote.

De Rossi's response to the issue received mixed reactions from her followers. Many were happy that she finally showed her support for DeGeneres while others questioned the "Scandal" star because there were too many allegations against her wife.

"This can’t be real. Have some accountability. It isn’t made up when it’s dozens of employees and years of bad stories. stop acting like she is a victim when there are real victims," @anoel44 commented.

"I DONT STAND WITH ELLEN!" @dan.korach commented.

"Sorry but she needs to take responsibility," @karencita.larios wrote.

"Of course you’d stand up for your wife cause you bleed off her money and fame . You have none !! Ellen should be ashamed of herself," @mrcrazy_i_tie added.

"It’s not bot attacks, her employees are speaking out," another netizen reacted.

On the other hand, many agreed with de Rossi and showed their support to DeGeneres because for them, the host has been generous and kind and not that really bad as what others claimed. Also, they said DeGeneres serves as an inspiration to some.

"It sucks that people have nothing better to do than attack others. If you’ve followed Ellen for this long, you know she’s not for that at all. Her company rebuilt the high school gym in our town after Hurricaine Harvey. She’s full of love, for even those she doesn’t know.," @shelbz1521 wrote.

"No surprise here, Portia, you are Ellen’s Number 1 fan. Proud of you for standing for your amazing wife," @flight_time_87 commented.

"I will always stand by Ellen. She is one of my biggest inspirations and someone that consistently makes me laugh," @matthewables added.

In related news, there are rumors that DeGeneres will be replaced by James Corden. However, many Twitter users disapproved of the idea because for them “The Late Late Show” host is worse than DeGeneres.
