Prince Charles’ wife, Camilla Parker Bowles was recently praised for spending as much time with Meghan Markle as possible.

In an article for Daily Mail, royal commentator Angela Levin said that Camilla and Markle get on well with each other.

“Not least because both of them have joined the Royal Family from the outside. Camilla goes out of her way to find time to spend with Meghan, to get to know her and make her feel welcome. She’s the ideal mother-in-law,” she said.

Earlier this month, it was revealed that Camilla was upset at how Markle upstaged her royal engagement with her secret visit to the National Theater. A source told Mirror that the Duchess of Cornwall was said to be very upset at the release of Markle’s photos.

“Camilla's work is very important to her and her decision to highlight the scourge of domestic violence at the 10th anniversary of Women of the World was a carefully thought-out plan. Of course, it was known Harry and Meghan would be doing engagements this week, some privately, but everyone was in agreement that Camilla's speech should take precedence. Unfortunately, some people had other ideas,” a source told the publication.

Meanwhile, Camilla also made headlines this week after it was confirmed that she tested negative for coronavirus. However, Prince Charles reportedly tested positive for the virus. Clarence House released a statement to confirm the diagnosis.

“In accordance with government and medical advice, the prince and the duchess are now self-isolating at home in Scotland. The tests were carried out by the NHS in Aberdeenshire, where they met the criteria required for testing. It is not possible to ascertain from whom the prince caught the virus owing to the high number of engagements he carried out in his public role during recent weeks,” the statement said.

Prince Charles and Camilla are still in Balmoral self-isolating amid the global health pandemic.
