Prince Harry is not afraid to be involved.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been in hot water especially after announcing that they are stepping back from their royal duties. Despite the non-stop backlash, some defended Prince Harry.

British Army veteran James Wharton recalled how Prince Harry defended him from those who harassed him after learning that he is gay. Wharton said that Prince Harry, their tank commander in 2008, stood up for him and reprimanded their colleagues who made him feel “uncomfortable” about his sexuality.

“I got into my tank where Prince Harry was doing something, and he could see that I was clearly affected by something and he asked me what the problem was,” Wharton told Forces News. “I told him that there were a couple of soldiers outside who weren't very happy with the fact I was gay.”

Meghan Markle’s husband admitted that he was offended by their fellow soldier’s behavior. After Prince Harry confronted them, the bullying went away.

“He knew how to do his job. He was skilled,” Wharton added. “He took the time to know his people. He wasn't afraid to get himself involved with things that were going on.”

In related news, Prince Harry has shockingly dumped his friends before Markle gave birth to their son Archie. An insider shared that most of his pals no longer has his cellphone number. While they understood that men often drift from their friends after marriage, Prince Harry’s friends had a lot of resentment because they were so close before he tied the knot with Markle.

The former “Suits” star also did the same to her close friends. When Markle’s relationship with Prince Harry became more serious, she reportedly sent a message to her pals telling them that she would not be in touch.

Prince Harry also offended royal fans after his final engagement because he used Stone Roses’ “This Is The One” song in one post on social media. Many were offended because for them, it showed how the royal couldn’t wait to leave the U.K. and reunite with Markle and Archie in Canada.
