  • Prince Harry's life in the U.S. could be worse than what Meghan Markle experienced in London

  • The Duke and Duchess of Sussex “have gone from relying on the royal family to relying on their Hollywood pals”

Prince Harry will have it worse in America than what his wife Meghan Markle experienced in England, according to an author.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced back in January that they were stepping back as senior members of the royal family before they moved to Canada. They returned to the U.K. in March for their final royal engagement.

In April, the royal couple officially became non-working royals. They then moved to the U.S. to be close to Markle’s mom, Doria Ragland, and the duchess’ pals. Meanwhile, Prince Harry does not have friends in the area.

According to the royal commentator and author Tom Quinn, Prince Harry’s life in Los Angeles will be far worse than what Markle had in London.

“I think Harry will be like a lost soul in the U.S.,” Quinn said on Channel 5’s “Harry & Meghan: Two Troubled Years.”

“It will be far worse for Harry in America than Meghan in England because he’s not as tough as she is.”

Meanwhile, royal experts Angela Mollard and Zoe Burrell shared their opinions about Prince Harry following their move to the U.S. in the “ROYALS” podcast. Mollard said that things could go worse for Prince William’s brother in California due to a lack of family support and friends.

“I very much think that Harry will be suffering from irrelevancy,” Mollard said.

“Right now, the world is not focused on them. He can’t do the work that he wants to do, is separated from his family at a time when the rest of the world is using Zoom or WhatsApp to chat with each other. I can hardly see that happening, he must feel very separate. He doesn’t have friends in LA, she does. She has Doria, she has her family.”

Meanwhile, royal correspondent Daniela Elser questioned the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s independence after they left the royal family. Prince Harry and Markle boldly announced that they will work to be “financially independent.”

However, according to Elser, they are not free and independent on their own. Instead, Prince Harry and Markle “have gone from relying on the royal family to relying on their Hollywood pals.”
