Restaurants Open On New Year’s Day 2020: List Of Major Chains Open

If you don’t plan to start off 2020 by cooking, you’ll want to know which restaurants are open on New Year’s Day. Luckily, there is a whole list of major chains open on Jan. 1.

Kick-off the new year with a cup of coffee at your favorite chain. Au Bon Pain, Krispy Kreme, Dunkin’ and Starbucks are all open, and restaurants like Denny’s, IHOP and Waffle House will be serving up breakfast favorites.

Of course, it isn’t just breakfast that’s available. Plenty of places will be open for lunch and dinner too. Fast food restaurants like McDonald’s, Burger King and KFC will be open as will more upscale chains like Benihana and Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse.
