Jane and Maura attempt to nab a serial killer who embalms his victims in "Rizzoli & Isles" Season 7, episode 11. TNT

TNT’s “Rizzoli & Isles” will soon air its series finale. In last week’s episode, Boston Homicide Detective Jane Rizzoli discovered that her best friend, Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Maura Isles, was once married. The crime-fighting duo were finally able to pin the murder of an accountant to her ex-husband’s family friend in episode 10.

In episode 11, Jane (Angie Harmon) and Maura (Sasha Alexander) will try to catch a serial killer. According to the official synopsis of “Stiffed,” a mortician’s body will be discovered in one of his own funeral home’s caskets.

The Boston Police department will delve into the world of embalming, interment, and ultimately, serial murder, in order to solve this tricky case.

The promo indicates that the police will not only find the mortician’s body, but also of four other victims who were put in caskets or buried in other people’s graves. Interestingly, all of the murderer’s victims were embalmed.

Furthermore, Jane’s brother Tommy Rizzoli (guest star Colin Egglesfield) and his son T.J. (guest star Cooper Fontaine) will visit their family in Boston and consider returning to the city for good. It remains to be seen how Jane, her mother Angela (Lorraine Bracco) and brother Frankie (Jordan Bridges) will react to this news.

Speaking of news, Jane is finally going to tell the Rizzolis about her decision to take on a teaching position at Quantico. The tough-as-nails detective told Maura about the offer and her best friend encouraged her to take the teaching post. After all, it would mean Jane will finally have regular work hours. However, it would also mean hanging her detective badge.
