Rosie O'Donnell fired back at GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump Thursday, after she unexpectedly became a topic of conversation in the Republican presidential debate.

Trump was challenged by moderator Megyn Kelly about his use of language toward women: “You’ve called women you don’t like, ‘fat pigs,’ ‘dogs,’ ‘slobs,’ and ‘disgusting animals’,” she said.

Before she could go on, Trump interrupted her, saying, “Only Rosie O’Donnell,” a remark that drew laughter and applause from the audience.

“For the record, it was well beyond Rosie O’Donnell,” Kelly said.

O'Donnell fired back on Twitter:

O'Donnell and Trump have a history of conflict, regularly trading barbs on social media and beyond. In 2006, O’Donnell called Trump a “snake-oil salesman” following his announcement that he would not fire troubled then-Miss USA Tara Conner, Yahoo Celebrity reported.

For his part, Trump has branded O'Donnell a “bully” and a “degenerate,” blasting her return to "The View," and mocking her personal life.
