WGN America TV series “Salem” premiered Season 3 last week after an agonizingly long wait. Janet Montgomery reprised her lead role as powerful witch Mary Sibley in the final moments of episode 1 despite her death at the end of last season.

The English actress gave fans another version of the official Season 3 poster (seen below). In the official one, all the Salem witches – Mercy Lewis (Elise Eberle), Anne Hale/Mather (Tamzin Merchant), Tituba (Ashley Madekwe) and, of course, Mary are seen sitting on steps adorned by the roots of a large tree. The women are relatively demure compared to the unedited version of the photo.

Contrast this picture with the one Montgomery shared on her Instagram account in which all four actresses are seen touching each other. “The out takes. You’ve seen the finished photo, but this one was just for us witches. Whose touching who?!” she captioned the photo.

The 31-year-old English actress urged her fans to vote for Hillary Clinton in the 2016 Presidential Election. The “This Is Us” star isn’t eligible to vote since she isn’t an American, but stated in an Instagram post that Mary Sibley is a citizen of the U.S. and she votes for Clinton.

Montgomery also posted a tweet praising new Netflix series “The Crown” which tells the story of a 25-year-old Queen Elizabeth II as she leads the country while forging a relationship with the then Prime Minster of England, Sir Winston Churchill. “Netflix’s ‘The Crown’ only reinforces why I love my Queen so much,” she wrote.

Season 3, episode 2 of WGN’s “Salem” will see Mary reunite with her son, the devil (Oliver Bell), in an effort to take him down. She will also reunite with the love of her life, Captain John Alden (Shane West).

Catch Montgomery play a powerful witch in “Salem” Season 3 on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. EDT on WGN America.
