Sam Asghari's ex-girlfriend Mayra Verónica is happy for him and his fiancée Britney Spears.

Days after Asghari and Spears announced their engagement, the 41-year-old model expressed her support for the couple, saying she believes they both "hit the jackpot" with each other.

"I feel great. I feel very happy for them," Verónica told TMZ Friday. "[Asghari] hit the jackpot!"

Verónica was sure to clarify, however, that she doesn’t mean financially. "[Spears] hit the jackpot too, though. He’s extremely supportive. He’s a really, really supportive guy, and after all the s–t she’s been through, that’s what she needs," she explained.

Verónica, who dated Asghari from 2015 until 2016, also praised him for standing by Spears through the years and said she believes that he is sincere toward the pop star.

"He was a really sweet guy," she replied when asked about the personal trainer's intentions with Spears. "He was always super, super supportive, so I think she’s with the right guy."

Verónica added that she is rooting for Spears and Asghari. She said she believes that they are perfect for each other and that he is what she needs amid her conservatorship battle.

"He’s such a charming, sweet guy that I really hope so — for her sake. She’s been through enough," the "Mama Mia" singer added.

Spears and Asghari announced their engagement last week via Instagram after five years of dating. His talent manager, Brandon Cohen of BAC Talent, also confirmed the happy news.

"The couple made their long-standing relationship official today and are deeply touched by the support, dedication and love expressed to them," he said in a statement to Page Six.

Asghari worked with Forever Diamonds NY founder and master jeweler Roman Malayev for a one-of-a-kind custom ring for the "Toxic" singer. The sparkler features a 4-carat round brilliant stone in a platinum cathedral setting with a floating solitaire design. It also has pavé detailing on the bridge and flushes set diamonds on the prongs and basket.

"Every designer I spoke with about the ring was amazing with great ideas, but I just clicked with Roman — we really connected on the design and he was as excited as I was to make it special — that’s why I chose him," Asghari said of working with Malayev.

Following the engagement announcement, Spears decided to take a social media break and deleted her Instagram account. Her lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, confirmed that it was her decision to take a social media break, and the singer herself later tweeted that she would be returning soon after taking time off to celebrate her engagement.

"She’s happy and in a great place," an unnamed source told Page Six of Spears' move, adding, "and silence can be a powerful thing and a powerful message."
