Samsung Galaxy A9 Officially Announced
The Samsung Galaxy A9, the new addition to the Galaxy A series smartphones, has been officially announced in China. Even though the smartphone is official now, most of the features and specifications of the Galaxy A9 were already revealed in the leaks that surfaced in the past weeks.
According to Fone Arena, the Samsung Galaxy A9 comes a massive Super AMOLED display of 6 inches. It supports a display resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It sports slimmer side bezels with a measurement of 2.74 mm in width. Below the display, there is a fingerprint scanner embedded under the physical Home button.
The Galaxy A9 is powered by Snapdragon 652 chipset that is coupled with 3 GB of RAM. The internal storage available on the handset is of 32 GB. It also features a microSD slot that can support a memory card of 128 GB.
For photography, the Galaxy A9 features a 13-megapixel camera that has a wide aperture of f/1.9 along with optical image stabilization. On the front side, there is a camera of 8-megapixel.
The Galaxy A9 comes preinstalled with Android 5.1 Lollipop. Since the smartphone has a fingerprint sensor, users will be able to take advantage of Samsung Pay mobile payment service.
The Galaxy A9 is a dual-SIM handset and it comes with connectivity features like Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, 4G LTE, v4.1 Bluetooth, NFC, and GPS. The handset is also likely to be available as single SIM variant. It is equipped with a huge battery of 4,000 mAh capacity. It carries support for rapid charging.
As far as the appearance of the Galaxy A9 is concerned, it comes with a metallic frame and its rear is made of up glass. It will be available in color options like white, gold and pink. The pricing and availability of the Samsung Galaxy A9 is currently under the wraps.
