Selena Gomez Officially Confirms Collaboration With Blackpink, Twitter Goes Berserk

After weeks of speculations and numerous reports, Selena Gomez has finally confirmed that she is collaborating with popular South Korean girl band Blackpink on a new single.

The 28-year-old Hollywood celebrity confirmed the news on her official Twitter account, saying that she is beyond excited to team up with one of the most popular bands in the world right now.

According to Billboard, the announcement comes after YG Entertainment teased fans that the iconic band would be teaming up with a superstar for a new track.

The hint turned out to be on the mark with the revealed collaboration with Gomez, who also announced the release date of the still-untitled track will be Aug. 28.

“So SO excited to announce @BlackPinkOfficial and I have a new song coming out August 28th,” Gomez wrote on Twitter.

Gomez’s tweet went viral in no time and garnered more than 105,000 likes and 63,000 retweets in just 45 minutes.

The band also shared the same artwork on their official Twitter account and the news quickly sent their fans into a frenzy.

Social media users went berserk after the announcement and could not hold their excitement for the upcoming collaboration. The “Good For You” hitmaker’s fans, popularly known as Selenators, were really happy to know that their favorite singer is teaming up with one of the most influential bands in the world right now.
