When the latest “Star Wars” installment hit theaters last month, thousands of moviegoers flocked to their local cinemas to catch “The Force Awakens” on the big screen. However, Natalie Portman was not one of those ticket-wielding fans, proving that the force wasn't strong enough to affect everyone in the galaxy.

On Wednesday, the “Star Wars” alum, who starred as Padmé Amidala in the space drama prequels, stopped by ABC’s “Good Morning America” to discuss her new western film titled “Jane Got a Gun.” In the film, which opens Friday, Portman revealed that she was able to reunite with some of her “Star Wars” family; Ewan McGregor, who portrayed Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Joel Edgerton, who played the small but important role of Owen Lars.

“It was nice that we all had that sort of familiarity to start off with,” the 34-year-old Oscar winner said before revealing to journalist George Stephanopoulos that she has yet to see “The Force Awakens.”

“I haven’t been able to see it yet,” the actress, who is currently working on a film about Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, as well as a movie on First Lady Jackie Kennedy Onassis, admitted.

However, Portman noted that she has heard about the rave reviews that Episode VII has received. “I've heard it's amazing and it's so nice that it's sort of this continuing part of everyone's shared cultural knowledge," the actress stated.
