‘Star Wars: Battlefront’ Beta Demand Forces Electronic Arts To Open More Servers
The much-anticipated “Star Wars: Battlefront” open beta went live at 1 p.m. ET on Thursday for PC, Xbox One and PS4. There was so much interest in the beta that publisher Electronic Arts announced on Twitter that it was bringing more PC servers online.
“Star Wars: Battlefront” is an action game with players able to choose between first-person and third-person shooter styles. Based on the Star Wars franchise “Battlefront” has multiple modes that span various planets -- including Endor and Hoth.
Electronic Arts would “appreciate your patience” as they bring the additional PC servers online, and ask that any beta feedback be posted on the official community forums.
Access to the beta is open but you must have an internet connection. To play on PC just sign up for an account on Electronic Arts distribution website Origin.
The game officially releases on November 20 for PC, Xbox One and PS4.
