  • Bethesda has not yet revealed anything about the map of "The Elder Scrolls 6"
  • The gaming studio previously said it would focus on "Starfield"
  • It would release more "The Elder Scrolls 6" news once "Starfield" is out

Bethesda is known for its deliberate way of hiding clues in plain sight. Because of this, "The Elder Scrolls 6" fans now speculate that the latest trailer of "Starfield" contains a hint about the map of the next "The Elder Scrolls" installment.

Xbox and Bethesda launched a new "Starfield" trailer during the team's showcase at this year's E3. The two-minute trailer was packed with details, which was something the team intentionally did, Bethesda Executive Producer Todd Howard said. Interestingly, fans did not let the trailer go unexplored. It didn't even take long before they began sharing their finds on Reddit.

One of them was user Huhwtfbleh, who reportedly found a potential "The Elder Scrolls 6" Easter Egg in the latest trailer of "Starfield." According to this user, the etching on the side of the trailer's control panel is a potential reference to the western coast of Tamriel, which combines the western edges of both High Rock and Hammerfell provinces. The said map covers the city of Daggerfall, which is the location of "The Elder Scrolls 2."

Additionally, it contains Iliac Bell and Hammerfell cities like Gilane, Sentinel and Helgathe. Other fans think that it more specifically points to the Iliac Bay, which is in between Hammerfall and High Rock. In "The Elder Scrolls," this area is also called Starfall Bay.

At this point, there are already lots of discussions about this potential "The Elder Scrolls 6" Easter egg in the latest "Starfield" trailer. For some, the map is similar to the western tip of Hammerfell where Helgather is located. However, others are not convinced since the general shape of the coastline is much different from the actual map.

Whether the etching on the control panel found on the latest "Starfield" trailer is really a reference to "The Elder Scrolls 6" map remains unconfirmed. In fact, Bethesda has not yet revealed anything related to the map of "The Elder Scrolls 6."

Over the past years, the gaming studio has been transparent when it comes to informing fans that the team's current main focus is "Starfield." Bethesda also made it clear that more news about the next "TES" installment would only be revealed after the release of "Starfield."

"Starfield" is scheduled to release in November 2022 on PC and Xbox gaming consoles. This means that official news about "The Elder Scrolls 6" would be made available in the later part of 2022.
