Monday’s installment of “Teen Mom OG” featured an awkward scene between Maci Bookout and her boyfriend Taylor McKinney. Episode 3 of the MTV series showed the longtime couple arguing over when Taylor, who shares a home and daughter with the “Teen Mom” star, is planning to pop the question. Following the premiere of the drama-filled episode, Taylor is speaking out about the network.

The scene in question showed Taylor, 26, and Maci, 24, out to a meal with friends in Las Vegas during their kids-free getaway. When one of Taylor’s friends brings up the topic of marriage proposals, things get tense between the couple. “When are you going to make me an honest woman?” Maci asks her partner as the group sits in silence. “I would never talk someone in to proposing to me but at the same time, I get tired of it. I get tired of people coming on to me like 'he’s a piece of s—' because he won’t purpose to me. I get tired of defending him.”

“TBH, the vegas trip was such a blast and not so down with the ring talk like the scene showed,” Taylor tweeted, as noted by OK magazine. The dad of one went on to clarify that despite what the series showed, Maci isn’t pushing him to pop the question. “Maci doesn’t put the pressure on like the scene showed,” he wrote. “Don’t get it twisted. It’s a show.”

Taylor isn’t the only “Teen Mom OG” star calling out the show. On Wednesday, Tyler Baltierra accused producers of stirring up drama ahead of his bachelor party in episode 3. During a Facebook fan Q&A Tyler, 24, responded to one fan calling his strip club visit disrespectful to Catelynn Lowell, who appeared upset about his party plans in the installment.

“It’s not disrespectful to Catelynn only because, first off, she knew about it. Second off, she agreed on it, and said it was OK and it was fine. And third, she had a stripper as well. So, we both had an agreement,” Tyler said, as first reported by Starcasm. “I know the show made it look like she was very hesitant and didn’t want it to happen. The fact is that the reason why she responded that way was because the producer was bringing it up a lot, and asking questions, and you know, in my opinion trying to get a little bit of a rise out of her and make her get a little upset about it.”

"Teen Mom OG" airs Mondays at 10 p.m. EST on MTV.
