'Teen Wolf' Season 5 Spoilers: 5 Juiciest Things We Learned During The Comic-Con 2015 Panel
The cast of MTV’s “Teen Wolf” came together in San Diego for Comic-Con 2015. Tyler Posey, Dylan O’Brien, Holland Roden and the rest of the cast and crew gave lucky attendees answers to all their burning questions. During a panel discussion, moderated by Kevin Smith, the “Teen Wolf” team provided spoilers, behind the scenes stories and more. Here is everything we learned from watching the 2015 Comic-Con panel discussion. Check it out:
1. A Key Friendship Will Crumble In Season 5
According to showrunner Jeff Davis, the relationship between Scott (Tyler Posey) and Stiles (Dylan O'Brien) may be on the outs in Season. During the discussion he told fans of the show, “something happens in episode 5 at the beginning of the episode that causes a rift between Scott and Stiles.” He also teased that the fallout would be used to Theo’s advantage later on in the show.
2. Scott Will Lose His Edge
Posey chimed in with more Season 5 spoilers saying his character, Scott, won’t be as on top of things as he usually is. The 23-year-old actor told the audience, “He normally knows what he’s doing and has a plan of action for everything...but things are falling apart around him.”
This point was made clear in the mid-season trailer, which the cast premiered during their panel.
3. Things Will Heat Up Between Scott And Liam
According to actor Dylan Sprayberry, who plays Liam on the show, “there will be some conflict” between his character and that of star Tyler Posey. Unfortunately he could not elaborate on what exactly the conflict will entail.
4. There Is Much More “Teen Wolf” To Come
In addition to the 70 episodes coming in the second half of Season 5, director Jeff Davis revealed MTV has ordered yet another action-packed season of the show. The network has called for a 20-episode season, though there is no word yet on when that will premiere.
5. A Derek Hale (Tyler Hoechlin) Comeback Could Be In The Works
After a fan asked a question about Hoechlin’s character, Tyler Posey called him up to give him an opportunity to speak. Hoechlin told the crowd he both missed the show “very much” and would love to come back. Only time will tell!
“Teen Wolf” airs Sundays at 10 p.m. EDT on MTV. Check out the full panel discussion below.
