Scott is going to have one more enemy in “Teen Wolf” Season 5. After introducing the Dread Doctors, showing Tracy (Kelsey Asbille) turning into a werewolf and revealing that Theo (Cody Christian) has major secrets, some might think that Scott (Tyler Posey) has enough bad guys to fight. However, according to the Season 5, episode 3 synopsis, a shapeshifter will be added to that list.

It looks like audiences will spend more time with the Sheriff (Linden Ashby) in episode 3. “Scott tracks a new shapeshifter that's threatening Stilinski,” the synopsis teases. Could this have anything to do with Donovan (Ashton Moio), the boy Stilinski had to arrest for breaking and entering in episode 1? He sounded pretty angry as he shouted, “You’re dead!” Donovan may have decided that to follow through with that promise … or the Sheriff might have new enemies.

While Scott worries about Stiles’ dad, Malia (Shelley Hennig) will try to find her mother. She is still looking for the Desert Wolf, and she may get another step closer this week. She “receives information about her mother,” according to the synopsis. It isn’t clear who is giving her the information, or if this will be enough for her to finally go after her birth mother.

While the episode summary ends there, the promo video for episode 3 seems to explain why it’s titled “Dreamcatchers.” As Tracy starts to attack people, Lydia (Holland Roden) and Kira (Arden Cho) realize that she isn’t even awake. She is still in her nightmare. That probably makes it easier for the Dread Doctors to control her, but it’ll force Lydia and Kira to get creative when they look for ways to stop her.
