  • A new report claims that the Google Pixel 2 has a killer feature that could challenge Apple's AirPods Pro
  • The new Google Pixel Buds 2 is now available in the US for $179

The new and redesigned true wireless earbuds from Google are finally here, and the search engine giant is offering it at a discounted price. It looks like Google is really aggressive in marketing its latest pair of wearables. Apart from this, the Google Pixel Buds 2 has this killer feature that challenges the dominance of Apple’s AirPods Pro in the wearables segment.

A recent report from Tom’s Guide shares that the Google Pixel Buds 2 has a feature that could fight the AirPods. Dubbed as Adaptive Sound, this feature challenges and even outsmarts the Transparency Mode of the Apple AirPods Pro. Google explains that Adaptive Sound subtly and dynamically adjusts the volume of the wireless earbuds as the user moves from noisy to quiet environments.

In other words, Google Pixel Buds 2 users do not need to continuously tap at the settings or volume to clearly hear the noise around. The smart wireless earbuds automatically do the job and allow the user what it intends to hear. Meanwhile, the Transparency Mode of the AirPods Pro enables all ambient sound to come in and has the ability to amplify it.

The Google Pixel Buds 2 promises to provide a better hands-free command for a whole new level of user experience. It also maintains the convenient real-time language translation. The new true wireless earbuds from Google also feature long-range Bluetooth connection that, according to its maker, is still stable even at up to three rooms away.

When it comes to battery capacity, the Google Pixel Buds 2 offers five long hours of use. The wireless earbuds’ charging case takes the battery life to 24 hours, similar to that of Apple AirPods. Users can charge the Pixel Buds 2 for 10 minutes and still enjoy a couple of hours’ listening time and an hour of talk time.

The newly released Google Pixel Buds 2 is a sequel to the Pixel Buds introduced by the search engine giant in 2017. The truly wireless earbuds are now available in the U.S. at a retail price of $179. For Europe and U.K. residents, the company has yet to reveal the retail price.
