ABC’s new TV show “Time After Time” ended episode 3 last week with a shocking twist. Jack the Ripper/Dr. John Stevenson (Josh Bowman) was unwittingly tricked into bedding Dr. Brooke (Jennifer Ferrin), a sexy neuropathologist that has been waiting to meet him for a long time.

Meanwhile, H.G. Wells (Freddie Stroma) successfully repaired his time machine.

What will happen next week on the show?

Jack the Ripper has finally met his match. In Season 1, episode 4, we will get to know a little more about Brooke. However, the promo of the upcoming episode hints that Stevenson will escape her custody. She has kept him imprisoned in her lab. She is keen to conduct tests on him. Is she studying his brain?

While John tries to flee Brooke’s clutches, Wells and Jane (Genesis Rodriguez) travel to the 1980s and make a shocking discovery. This discovery could change Vanessa’s (Nicole Ari Parker) life, according to the official synopsis.

The preview reveals that H.G. and Jane will meet a very young Vanessa in what appears to be her childhood home. Will the time-travelers uncover some truth about Vanessa and her family?

Unfortunately, after Wells and Jane travel to the past, John somehow escapes captivity and steals the time machine. The most pressing question is: Which time period is he going to travel to — the past or the future? Moreover, how will Wells get back the time machine after his friend steals it?

Hopefully, we will also learn more about Vanessa’s shady boyfriend Griffin (Will Chase). He made a mysterious call to someone informing the caller that he has access to the time machine.

“Time After Time” is a cat-and-mouse thriller that tells the story of H.G. Wells. He invented the time machine and travels to 2017 New York in order to find and bring back his friend Dr. John Stevenson. His friend, unfortunately, is also the infamous serial killer, Jack the Ripper.

“Time After Time” airs Sundays at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.
