Tom Brady's Wife Gisele Bündchen, Kids Will Attend Super Bowl XLIX Vs. Seahawks Despite Illness

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady’s wife Gisele Bündchen won’t let a little illness stop her from watching her husband’s team take on the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLIX on Sunday. The Brazilian supermodel had plans to fly to Arizona this weekend to attend the game, Brady told reporters at NFL Media Day.

“She’s at home taking care of everybody, all the kids,” Brady said, according to Us Weekly. “She’s gonna come out this weekend. I’ve had [a cold] for four or five days. My kids got sick, and then my wife’s pretty sick right now, so I brought it, unfortunately, to Phoenix.” But Patriots fans shouldn’t panic about Brady’s status ahead of the Super Bowl. The 37-year-old said he will be “fine” to play and has used “old remedies,” such as a garlic-heavy diet, to combat the illness, Yahoo Sports reports.

Bündchen may not have felt up to accompanying Brady to media day, but she took to Twitter to express her support. “We love you daddy!!!!! #SBMediaDay,” she wrote. She and Brady have two children together – a 5-year-old son named Jack and a 2-year-old daughter named Vivian. Brady also has 7-year-old son named Benjamin with his former girlfriend, actress Bridget Moynahan. Of the three children, only Benjamin is a sports fan, Brady said. “I’ve got one [son] that loves sports and another one that doesn’t love sports very much … it’s a mixed group in my family right now,” Brady said. “But they’ll love the excitement of the game, it’s such a unique experience.”

Brady and Bündchen met through a mutual friend in 2006 and were married three years later in a private Santa Monica, California, wedding, Vanity Fair reported in 2009. Bündchen said she immediately knew that Brady was the one. “I knew right [a]way — the first time I saw him,” she said. “We met through a friend. The moment I saw him, he smiled and I was like, that is the most beautiful, charismatic smile I’ve ever seen! We sat and talked for three hours. I had to go home for Christmas, but I didn’t want to leave. You know that feeling of, like, you can’t get enough? From the first day we met, we’ve never spent one day without speaking to each other.”

Brady is already considered one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history, but Bündchen has been extremely successful in her own right. A longtime Victoria’s Secret model, she has been the world’s highest-paid supermodel every year since 2002, according to Forbes.
