Kylie Jenner was named one of “America’s 60 Richest Self-Made Women” by Forbes thanks to her Kylie Cosmetics company. The empire has increased her net worth to an estimated $900 million and Jenner’s boyfriend, Travis Scott, made sure he showed support for the mother of his child amid some backlash over the publication’s cover.

On Wednesday, Forbes referred to Jenner as one of “America’s Women Billionaires.” The label garnered some negative reactions on Twitter and some social media users voiced their opinions about the “Keeping Up With Kardashians” star’s feature.

However, the “Goosebumps” rapper shared a special message for his girlfriend amid the backlash. “Can’t be more proud,” Scott tweeted along with a photo of Jenner’s cover and three heart emojis.

Although Jenner came in at number 27 on the list, some people believe she should have been excluded from the category due to her privileged life and family’s fame. “Not to be extra but that Kylie Jenner article is a mess they’re calling her self made when everything has literally been given to her by her millionaire parents & sisters? Ya she’s smart with her brand & her success but doesn’t make her self made,” one person wrote.

“Idk what’s harder to digest, the fact Kylie Jenner might be the youngest self made billionaire, or that news outlets are calling her ‘ self made’ with no sense of irony or sarcasm whatsoever #thisisamerica2018,” another person tweeted.

However, one Twitter user believes social media was the driving factor in Jenner’s success. “@KylieJenner @kyliecosmetics is on the cover of @Forbes. I do not agree with the self made, but it proves the power of social media and the changing structure of the beautybiz,” the individual noted.

Amid the backlash, Jenner appears to be more focused on her personal life. She recently enjoyed a getaway with her boyfriend and their daughter, Stormi Webster. The family flew to Honolulu, where Scott spent quality time with his girlfriend and baby in an Airbnb rental equipped with a recording studio on a private beach, according to TMZ.

After Jenner returned to Los Angeles with Stormi, Scott reportedly began working on his new album in the studio. While it is unclear when the rapper’s EP will be released, he is working with several well-known producers including Gunna, Cash and Nav.
