“Voice” coaches Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton: Are they or are they not dating? While the rumors have been widely debunked, gossip about a possible burgeoning romance persists. But there’s bad news for those who hope Stefani and Shelton will get together. The latest story, from Hollywood Life, claims the two singers are just close friends.

The country star, 38, and No Doubt singer, 45, are both newly divorced, but their relationship is strictly platonic. “They are friends and that is it,” an insider told Hollywood Life in an exclusive report Thursday. “They aren’t hooking up. Blake is a great guy and lots of fun on set with everyone, but that is not equaling into a relationship between him and Gwen.” To really hit the point home, the source added there is “no truth at all” to the rumors.

Since Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine gets to work with the coaches on the hit NBC reality show and likes to joke around with Shelton, he can’t help but poke fun at the gossip. “He can’t help himself,” a source said. “[Adam] jokes that they are both single now so they should just go ahead and do it.”

Shelton has been getting attention for his slimmer figure, and he credit his divorce from “Over You” singer Miranda Lambert. "I just think, not the actual breakup part, just the whole stress of getting through all of that, it’s just weird. I’m not eating as many fried pickles and stuff,” he said on a WDRQ-FM radio show Wednesday. “You should try the divorce diet,” he joked.

Lambert, 31, also said the divorce has changed her diet. The singer told the crowd during a July concert that she coped with the split by "living off caffeine and sad songs."
