Meghan Markle's estranged father talked about the Duchess of Sussex and her family once more in a new interview, drawing criticism on social media.

In his interview with Australian TV show "60 Minutes," Thomas Markle Sr., 76, claimed that he received "no phone calls" after the duchess and Prince Harry welcomed their daughter Lili on June 4. Markle gave birth in Santa Barbara, California, less than five hours away from Thomas' home in Mexico, E! News noted.

"No phone calls. I just heard it on the radio," the retired Hollywood lighting director said of the baby girl's arrival, adding, "All I can say is I hope I get to eventually, sometime see these grandchildren of mine because I'm a pretty good grandpa."

Reacting to the interview, which was broadcast in full Sunday, Twitter users sympathized with the Duchess of Sussex and slammed her father for continuing to talk about his daughter to the press.

"What did he expect?" one person commented.

"Cause you are a gossip and will sell whatever they say to you to the highest bidder," another wrote, possibly referencing the publication of the private letter the duchess had sent her father after her 2018 wedding to Prince Harry.

"She’s a week postpartum and y’all helping him harass her! ALL Y’ALL TRASH!" a third user wrote.

"Meghan Markle's father and sister are deplorable, low class bottom feeder opportunists," another added.

"But he can’t stop talking to the media!!" a fifth netizen wrote, adding, "he’s a joke."

Others sided with Markle’s father, claiming that just like any parent, he just wanted to keep in contact with the former actress, while some accused the duchess and Prince Harry of hypocrisy over their alleged treatment of Thomas.

"Let’s see what kind of a father Thomas Markle was when Meghan Markle was not yet famous! FROM HER OWN WORDS," one commented alongside screenshots of a letter Markle allegedly wrote in which she said her father was "so generous" with her.

"Where is Haz and Megs compassion in action? They are so hypocritical it is shocking," a second user added.

"Absolutely shameful how can she sleep at night doing that," a third user wrote.

"Harry and Meghan lecture us about compassion at every opportunity. They are clearly not experts on the subject. They are an embarrassment to the royal family," another tweeted.

"He's talking the most sense I've heard about the situation...Bit ruff they're both rabbiting on about a mental health without a thought for his...Bloody hypocrites..." a fifth person posted.

In the same interview, Thomas also claimed that Oprah Winfrey was the "only person" who benefited from her March interview with his daughter and Prince Harry and accused the TV mogul of "exploiting" the couple.

"I think she's patting herself on the back and making a lot of money on this," he said of Winfrey and Prince Harry's Apple TV+ mental health docuseries "The Me You Can't See." "I think Harry's being put into a position where he's saying things he'll never be able to take back...I'm not attacking Oprah but I really think Oprah's taking advantage of Harry."
