Queen Elizabeth II, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will be making a TV appearance on the same day on different stations.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's interview with Oprah Winfrey will air next month. Queen Elizabeth II is also making a TV appearance on the same day, and this got netizens thinking that the royals could be competing with each other.

Many speculated that their appearances on TV would spark another round of drama among the members of the royal family.

"This is so sad! That family will forever be divided thanks to one ambitious [woman]!" one commented.

"She needs to pre-warn people about the fool her grandson is going to make it himself," another added.

Meanwhile, some couldn't help but compare the royals' TV appearances. A number sided with the Queen while others claimed more people would watch Prince Harry and Markle.

"The difference between British class and an American grifter," another user wrote.

"Classy appearance by the Queen. Trashy appearance by the Markles," a different netizen added.

"Queen always wins," @jan_m_x wrote.

"Why bother, everyone will be watching Megan and Harry even the people who don't like Megan and Harry will be watching them the queen is just going to be talking about the Commonwealth," a different netizen commented.

Meanwhile, some wondered why the Queen would be making a TV appearance while her husband is at the hospital. Others said it was good for Prince Harry that he left his family because they felt that the royals were not considering the couple. However, several also defended Her Majesty regarding the TV appearance because it would be about the Commonwealth and nothing to do with Prince Harry and Markle.

"It's a Commonwealth Day special, it has nothing to do with Harry and Meghan," one wrote.

"The headline for this is misleading. The Royals are doing a televised broadcast for Commonwealth Day (March 7). All of the activities have been cancelled due to COVID-19. The Royals planned this Commonwealth Special with BBC weeks ago," Jennifer Brush added.

Queen Elizabeth II's BBC broadcast will air Sunday, the same day as CBS' 90-minute primetime special featuring Prince Harry and Markle. However, Her Majesty's broadcast will air hours before the Sussexes' interview. The Queen's Commonwealth Day TV special has been in the works since January and the time slot was only decided three weeks ago, People reported.
