Anthony Rapp's explosive interview with Buzzfeed, accused "House of Cards" actor, Kevin Spacey of making sexual advances at him when he was 14-years-old.

In response to that, Spacey issued a statement on his official Twitter account saying that he is beyond horrified to hear Rapp’s story. He also confessed to not remembering the alleged incident that would've taken place almost 30 years ago, had it happened. Spacey specified in his statement that he has immense respect for Rapp and made an apology in case the event occurred. He also referred to the occurrence of the alleged incident as possibly "inappropriate drunken behavior" on his part.

After Spacey’s public apology, Twitter was flooded with reactions to not only the allegations against him but also his statement.

Actress Rose McGowan who had accused movie mogul Harvey Weinstein of raping her at the Sundance Film Festival in 1997 also tweeted in support of Rapp and bid "goodbye" to Spacey.

She also claimed on Monday that Weinstein tried to silence her by offering her $1 million following sexual assault allegations against him.

In a simple tweet after allegations were made public against Spacey by Rapp, McGowan took to her Twitter, saying goodbye to Spacey.

Some users on Twitter accused Spacey of turning child molestation allegation into a "coming out" story.

A Twitter user by the name, Josh tweeted, "As a gay man I can assure you molesting 14-year-olds is not normal and Kevin Spacey shouldn't be using his sexuality to excuse his actions."

Other users on Twitter pointed out the sexual harassment and alleged rape cases that have taken Hollywood by storm, claiming that Hollywood is not safe anymore.

Another user, Vann R. Newkirk II tweeted, "Kevin Spacey treating alleged abuse like you would treat losing your keys when you were drunk last summer is all you really need to know."

While speaking about the incident to Buzzfeed, Rapp revealed that it took place in 1986 when he played the lead role in a Broadway play "Precious Sons" and though he has never shared the incident with anybody the numerous allegations against Harvey Weinstein inspired Rapp to share his story with the world.

When asked about his motivation behind sharing his story, Rapp said, "Not to simply air a grievance, but to try to shine another light on the decades of behavior that have been allowed to continue because of many people, including myself, being silent. … I'm feeling really awake to the moment that we're living in, and I'm hopeful that this can make a difference," he said.
