‘The Walking Dead: Season 3’ Release Date, Plot, Offers

“The Walking Dead” video game from Telltale Games is back with its third season and is called “The New Frontier.”

The adventure game series lets players don the role of Javier, a man looking for his family after a zombie apocalypse ravages the world. In the latest season, Javier is joined by Clementine and Telltale promises their “fates are bound together in a story where every choice you make could be your last.”

The first episode of “The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series – A New Frontier" will be out Dec. 20 on the PlayStation Network, Xbox Games Store, Steam, Telltale Online Store, Google Play, the App Store and other such outlets. In case, you don't just want to play the game online and want to own a disc too, the Season Pass edition will roll out for Xbox and PlayStation 4 on Feb. 7, 2017.

It will include access to the first episode of the five-part season 3, as well as another four episodes that will be released in the future. Gamers can also pre-order the season, both online and at retail shops.

The company also announced some offers:

• PlayStation 4 owners will receive a copy of “The Walking Dead: Season 2" and “The Walking Dead: Michonne."
• Steam users will receive 10 percent discount on Season 3.

Ahead of the release, Telltale will reveal the first look at the premiere episode of Season 3 live on stage at the Game Awards on Dec. 1.
