A video has emerged of the final moments of a man shot by suspected gang members outside a bodega in Brooklyn, New York.

Final moments of the victim, identified as 20-year-old Donovan Frazier, can be seen on dramatic surveillance footage inside the Franklin Finest Deli on Franklin Ave. in Crown Heights. According to New York Daily News, Frazier had gone to the bodega to buy ginger ale. As he stepped out of the store after his purchase at about 4.20 a.m. EDT, a barrage of bullets greeted the man, although it is not clear if more than one shooter was involved in the incident.

In the surveillance footage, Frazier can be seen standing near the front door when a number of bullets are shot towards him, sending him scurrying back into the store. Frazier can be seen clutching at his chest where the bullets seemed to have struck him. Multiple bullets also hit him in the stomach, leaving him covered in blood, NY Daily News reported.

After Frazier is seen running back into the store, other workers at the store also crouch low on seeing him. Here's the video of the incident posted by Daily News.

Fahmi Ali, 17, a clerk at the Shorey Deli and Grocery across the street from where the shooting happened, was a witness to the shooting. He told NY Daily News: “I saw four guys waiting behind some cars on Franklin Ave. right outside the deli. One of them had a gun and started shooting four or five times towards the corner.”

“When he came (back) inside, he was already bleeding,” said Ghamdan Obayah, one of the owners of Franklin Finest Deli where the shooting was reported. “He lay down behind the deli and stayed there. He was breathing very hard and crying.”

Police responded to a 911 call of a male shot in front of 790 Franklin Avenue, about a mile from the Brooklyn Museum. At the scene, they found Frazier bleeding on the ground after having been shot multiple times in the torso. He was then rushed to Kings County Hospital where he died of his injuries. Six shell casings were recovered at the scene, said the report by NY Daily News.

Ali also added the victim was a regular customer at his store too and had bought a bottle of juice hours before the shooting happened. “He’s in here a lot,” he said. “He was a nice guy. He always treated me well.”

According to the report, Frazier was allegedly a member of one the rival gangs of Lincoln Family and Bergen Family which were busted in 2016 for killing a rival and conspiring to murder others in a turf war in Crown Heights.

Alleged gang members were engaged in eight separate daylight shootings between 2013 and March 2016 at Crown Heights in which six people were injured. One 19-year-old girl, Jaquay Bennett, was also killed.

Meanwhile, family members of Frazier posted messages of grief on social media. “R.I.P. to my dear sweet cousin Donovan Frazier. You will be greatly missed. My heart is breaking,” one post read. The cops are on the lookout for Frazier’s shooter(s).
