On Wednesday night, “My 600-Lb Life” Season 4 subject Lupe Samano will be one of the people featured on the “Where Are They Now” edition of the TLC series. Lupe, who was 500 pounds when her episode first aired, will update fans on her emotional weight loss journey.

When viewers met Lupe, she hadn’t left her bed in 12 years and was constantly overeating. She was being taken care of her husband, Gilbert Donovan, who she later found out was talking to women online behind her back. Throughout Lupe’s story, her relationship with Gilbert experienced several issues, and the two eventually separated.

In the latest episode of “My 600-Lb Life,” Lupe will struggle to make the necessary changes that are vital to her health. However, with her husband gone, Lupe becomes determined to continue her weight loss journey in order to be approved for a hip surgery that will allow her to be mobile.

While Lupe focuses on reaching her goal on screen, off screen she appears to be thrilled with the progress she has made. The subject has not only managed to find love with a new man named Andrew Renteria, but she has also continued to shed the pounds.

On Wednesday, Lupe posted a Facebook photo of herself appearing to have lost a substantial amount of weight. Along with the picture, Lupe shared a lengthy post about her weight loss journey. “This last year and 4 months has been a very hectic down out spiral roller coaster in my life,” she explained.

Lupe revealed she experienced a variety of emotions but managed to overcome them through her faith in God. “I have learned anger is not of God... So I’ve prayed and I’ve cried out to God and given it to him...After all God is in control ..And I know if I continue to fight with all that is within me...I’ll have the V.I.C.T.O.R.Y in Jesus’ name.”

The TLC subject went on to encourage everyone to tune into her episode and made a point to deter those who attempted to add negativity to her life. “If any of you feel the need to be negative or mean towards me or my love Andrew Renteria. Plz keep your comments to yourself or take them to God in prayer,” she stated.

Although she appears to have her life in a more positive place, viewers will have to wait to see what steps Lupe takes to reclaim her life following an emotionally draining journey.

“My 600-Lb Life” airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EDT on TLC.
