Some Twitter users who saw “Igloo Australia” as a top-trending topic might have been confused, but the label given to “Fancy” rapper Iggy Azalea by American rapper Azealia Banks had to do with Ferguson and Eric Garner. In a little more than a week, two grand juries decided not to indict two white officers, Darren Wilson and Daniel Pantaleo, who were responsible for the deaths of two black men, Michael Brown and Eric Garner. Protests have taken place throughout the nation, with most people having plenty to say, but Banks was apparently offended by Azalea’s silence.

“its funny to see people Like Igloo Australia silent when these things happen,” Banks wrote Wednesday. “Black Culture is cool, but black issues sure aren't huh?” The message was retweeted nearly 30,000 times. “If you're down to ride with us bitch you gotta RIDE ALL THE WAY,” she added.

Azalea, who is from Australia, didn’t stay quiet after she was called out by her fellow rapper. She took to her official account to say there’s more to life than Twitter. “Theres more to sparking a change than trolling on social media. World issues shouldnt be used as a poor excuse to promote fan battles,” she wrote. "Make sure you do something to let YOUR government know how you feel when something is unjust, not JUST your followers on twitter ...”

The rapper then gave some examples of actions to take, like signing petitions, protesting or donating to support groups. She even shared a link so people can do “productive” things to help. “Be mad but be productive, please! Night twitter kids,” she said. “Peace be with you. xoxo”

Twitter users harped on the “Igloo Australia” name, and continued to make jokes about it on the social media site. Some of their comments have been posted below:
