“Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star Kim Kardashian West “is definitely scared” to give birth the second time around, the E! reality star wrote Monday in a blog post titled “High-Risk Pregnancy.” The wife of Kanye West opened up about her struggles during her first pregnancy with daughter North, and her fears about her second birth with her son, whose name has not been revealed.

One of the things Kardashian West, 35, wrote about was preeclampsia. She suffered from the condition, which she said “only about 5 percent of women get.” Kardashian West noted her experience with it: “It causes your body and face to swell, and that was very uncomfortable for me. I had early-onset preeclampsia and I had to deliver at 34 weeks, almost six weeks early.”

She also detailed her horrifying birth experience with North when her placenta didn’t come out, which is called placenta accreta. “My doctor had to stick his entire arm in me and detach the placenta with his hand, scraping it away from my uterus with his fingernails. How disgusting and painful!!!” the reality star wrote. “My delivery was fairly easy, but then going through that -- it was the most painful experience of my life!”

Kardashian West added she’s worried about the birth of her son because her chances of preeclampsia and placenta accreta are increased since she suffered from them during her first pregnancy. “I might need a hysterectomy after delivery if my condition is severe enough,” she said. “So as time goes on, I am stressing out less and trying to go with the flow.”

The fashionista finished off the post on a positive note: “My advice to anyone going through this or anything difficult during pregnancy is that all you can do is be hopeful, get the best information out there and just be prepared. The more information you have, the better you know how to handle it!”

Kardashian West's reported due date is Dec. 25.
