Saul Goodman will be back on the small screen very soon. “Better Call Saul” Season 3 premieres on Monday, April 10 at 10 p.m. EST on AMC.

In addition to the return of Bob Odenkrik as slippery lawyer Jimmy McGill and Jonathan Banks as former cop Mike Ehrmantraut, “Better Call Saul” will also see Giancarlo Esposito reprise his role as Los Pollos Hermanons’ owner Gustavo “Gus” Fring. Season 2 hinted of his return by providing two clues. The first was the mysterious message left on Mike’s windshield when he attempted to assassinate drug kingpin Hector Salamanca (Mark Margolis). The second was that the first letter of every episode’s title in Season 2, when put together, reads Fring’s back.

Esposito confirmed that his “Breaking Bad” character will be back when he appeared at the Television Critics Association winter press tour Saturday and joined the panel of “Better Call Saul.” Handing out boxes of fried chicken from his character’s famous fictional chain of restaurants to reporters, Esposito said he was honored to come back and play the iconic villain.

However, Esposito cautioned that Gus won’t be as menacing as he used to be on “Breaking Bad.” “[He’s] a little more immature from when we left off,” the actor told reporters (via Entertainment Weekly), “I’m reminding myself that he’s still finding his way, business man that he is, in regards to where we left off where he was at with the cartel.”

The 58-year-old American actor later added, “Jimmy McGill is a character who you look at and just when you think he’s slopping off of all of those characteristics that you’ve seen, he comes right back to a place where you’re surprised by it, so I’m hoping that Gustavo Fring will be similar in that way.” Additionally, Gus will not be seen in the Season 3 premiere. Rather, expect the chicken man to make his entrance in episode 2 or later.

Furthermore, AMC released the first footage of “Better Call Saul” Season 3 in which McGill and his love interest Kim Wexler (Rhea Seehorn) are seen sharing office space while the former ponders over his brother Chuck (Michael McKean).

“Better Call Saul” Season 3 premieres Monday, April 10 at 10 p.m. EST on AMC.
