Where Is Karlie Kloss? Why Model Didn’t Walk 2016 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is one of the top gigs for a model, but Angel Karlie Kloss did not walk the runway in Paris at the show. Kloss took to Instagram last week to reveal why she was not able to participate in the event on the year.

Kloss, 24, shared a picture from the 2013 show. “Thinking of the Angels and my entire @victoriassecret family as they make their way to Paris today,” she wrote Nov. 28. “Unfortunately this year I have a work obligation that is keeping me from Paris.”

A work engagement might have kept he raway from the Paris show, but that didn’t mean Kloss didn’t want to be there. “I'm sad to miss it but am wishing everyone all the best from afar!” she said. “There is truly no show quite like the VS Fashion Show, and there is no feeling quite like walking on that magnificent runway.”

She wished the other models good luck: “To all my girls walking, good luck and enjoy every minute of it!!! I can't wait to see you all shine bright over in Paris ❤ All my love xx kk” The post was liked more than 180,000 times by her 5.8 million followers.

Kloss isn’t too sad about missing the show. She posted multiple pictures of her working out, meditating and relaxing at the spa.

She took to Instagram the day before the 2016 VSFS aired. “Brain, body, and soul feeling rested and rejuvenated,” she captioned a photo of herself hanging upside down, sticking her tongue out and giving the peace sign. “[Peace] out.” The photo garnered more than 126,00 likes.

The VS Fashion Show, which was filmed in Paris last week, airs Monday on CBS at 10 p.m. EST. It had performances by Bruno Mars, The Weekend and Lady Gaga. It also featured models Kendall Jenner and Bella and Gigi Hadid.
