Nick Gordon wasn’t about to let feuds with Bobbi Kristina Brown’s family stop him from saying goodbye. Nick was not allowed to go to Bobbi Kristina’s funeral, so he honored her in his own way.

“Nick went to the beach with me on Friday during the services,” his mother, Michele Gordon, told People. “He said the beach was always their favorite place to go so he decided that he would honor her at a place that they both loved.”

A trip to Daytona Beach, Florida, wasn’t the only way Nick has been honoring his late girlfriend. He has also been wearing the engagement ring he gave her on a necklace. Before she died, Nick also got a tattoo of her name.

Bobbi Kristina and Nick were rumored to be very much in love before her death July 26. “They were very lovey-dovey,” their neighbor Debbie Brooks told People. “I will say that they loved each other very much. They had a very passionate relationship.”

Nick reportedly was very upset that he was banned from the funeral. The 25-year-old also was banned from the hospital when Bobbi Kristina was comatose. “I loved Krissi with all my heart and I am destroyed that she is gone and I need to say goodbye,” Nick wrote in an email to Bobby Brown and Pat Houston, TMZ reported. “I'm begging you both to please put your differences aside and allow me this chance.” [Bobby Brown was Bobbi Kristina's father; Pat Houston is the sister of Bobbi Kristina's late mother, Whitney Houston.]

Bobbi Kristina’s former boyfriend hasn’t been on good terms with the family since she was found unresponsive in a bathtub Jan. 31. Nick reportedly refused to share with her family all of the details of what happened.

“Let me be very clear, Mr. Gordon was offered an opportunity to potentially visit Bobbi Kristina and he declined to meet the terms of any possible visit,” Christopher Brown, the lawyer for Bobby Brown, said in a statement. “Obviously, Mr. Gordon is not as desperate to visit Bobbi Kristina as he wants the world to believe.”

Nick now faces a $10 million lawsuit, Us Weekly reported. The legal papers, filed by Bobbi Kristina’s conservator, Bedelia Hargrove, allege that Nick abused Bobbi Kristina and stole money from her.
