Casebolt was placed on administrative leave pending an investigation into the incident, which took place Friday when officers responded to a "disturbance involving multiple juveniles at the location, who do not live in the area or have permission to be there, refusing to leave," according to a statement from the department.
A video posted Saturday shows Casebolt and other officers running after the teenagers and tackling them to detain them, International Business Times previously reported.
According to a LinkedIn profile in his name, Casebolt has worked as a police officer in McKinney since August 2005. He was named Officer of the Year in 2008, and his duties included neighborhood patrol, community policing and crime prevention.
