So much for airing your dirty laundry. “Teen Mom 2” star Leah Calvert revealed to her fans on Twitter last week that she will not be starring on Season 6 of the MTV reality series. While the mom of three didn’t offer a solid explanation as to her reason for parting ways with the network, reports are claiming that rumors of her alleged drug use and speculation she may have cheated on her husband of two years, Jeremy Calvert, both played a role in her decision to end her TV career.

Following allegations that she'd been “getting high for years” on painkillers, Leah, 22, felt it was best to keep herself out of the spotlight, Radar Online is reporting. The reason? She feared the drug rumors could put her at risk of losing her twin girls she shares with ex-husband, Corey Simms. Following several drug-infused appearances on Season 4 of the series, even one in which she referred to herself as a “druggy” for taking a prescribed anxiety medication, Leah reportedly felt that continuing her role on the program could make her more vulnerable in her custody battle with Simms over Ali and Aleeah, 4.

“Leah’s final court date is coming up and her behavior on the show makes her look really bad to a judge,” a source said.

According to a separate insider, Leah had no qualms about leaving “Teen Mom 2” if it meant securing custody of her girls. “Leah’s daughters are her number one priority,” a “friend” of Leah’s told Radar. “Now that the show could lead her to lose custody, she’s ready to leave her reality-TV life behind.”

Leah’s alleged drug use and custody issues are not the only reasons for her leaving the long-standing MTV program. Ashley’s Reality Roundup reports that rumors she cheated on her husband Jeremy with ex-boyfriend Robbie Kidd was another factor in her decision to leave. According to the site’s report, Leah, who shares Adalynn Faith, 1, with Jeremy, didn’t want to relive the cheating accusations on TV after being “scarred” for admitting to cheating on Corey, her husband of six months, in Season 2.

Leah, a West Virginia native, confirmed she will not appear on “Teen Mom 2” Season 6 on Twitter Friday. After announcing the casting shakeup, Leah wished former co-stars Jenelle Evans, Kailyn Lowry and Chelsea Houska, well. “I hope my girls continue to move on with TM2,” she said. “I wish them the BEST xoxo."
