Nikki Bella admitted that it hasn’t been easy being far away from fiancé Artem Chigvintsev and revealed their plan to attend couples therapy after his stint in “Dancing with the Stars.”

The “Total Bellas” star confessed to Us Weekly that Chigvintsev being away from his family for long periods of time has become a struggle for them, revealing that this setup has taken a toll on their relationship.

“It’s hard. We have so many ups and downs. It’s been so difficult on our relationship because I need so much from him, but he’s, like, torn between his job that requires so much from him and then us at home,” the former wrestler said.

Bella also revealed that her twin Brie had to tell Chigvintsev about how she was feeling after giving birth to their son, Matteo, in July. The mom-of-one struggled with postpartum depression.

Bella’s sister told the professional dancer that his fiancée was “hiding a lot” from him. Chigvintsev’s partner did admit that she kept things secret from him, but when he learned about her difficulties, he did his best while juggling work.

“I just told him, like, ‘I need more attention from you,’ and that is something we’ve worked on, and that’s gotten better. Artem and I have great communication, but it’s been lacking, but that’s something that we’ve been so strong about in our relationship [in the past],” Bella said.

The couple has decided to attend couples therapy after Season 29 of “Dancing with the Stars” wraps up. Bella revealed that they will be attending sessions because they both “realized that we both feel like we’re not listening to each other.”

“We finally both just said, like, ‘We need to bring someone in to help us so we don’t get [back] into that place,’” she added.

The affianced pair, who began dating in 2018, welcomed their bundle of joy on July 31. Prior to Chigvintsev, Bella was engaged to wrestler John Cena, who reached out to her and her twin after they gave birth a day apart.

For those interested in witnessing the Bella sisters' journey, “Total Bellas” Season 6 premieres on E! Thursday at 9 p.m. EST.
