Zoe Saldana Reveals Her Husband Adopted Her Last Name, Does Not Care About The Consequences
Zoe Saldana’s husband has taken his wife's last name. Marco Perego will now be known as Marco Perego Saldana and doesn’t “give a s---” what people say about his decision.
“I tried to talk him out of it. I told him, ‘If you use my name, you’re going to be emasculated by your community of artists, by your Latin community of men, by the world'," Saldana told InStyle magazine in a recent interview. “But Marco looks up at me and says [in an Italian accent], ‘Ah, Zoe, I don’t give a s---'.” Perego took her last name soon after the two secretly married in 2013.
The “Guardians of The Galaxy” star appeared on the cover of InStyle magazine, where she sits wearing a beautiful printed floral blue dress by Dolce & Gabbana. She is photographed by Paul Maffi in Malibu's Villa de Leon. The actress looked fit and completely back in shape following the birth of the couple's twins last November. Check out the picture here.
The magazine referred to Saldana as the “chicest billion-dollar box-office mom” on the cover page of July issue. The 36-year-old actress discussed her life post-twins and how being a mother has changed her marriage. She has also gave details on how she recovered her slim figure after delivery.
The actress said she does not want to get back to where she used to be before motherhood but would rather focus on being healthy. “I want to feel healthy and not just fit into the old jeans I used to wear. I’m a woman now. My body has changed forever. It’s softer... and stronger,” said the actress. Saldana and her artist husband welcomed their twin boys, Bowie Ezio and Cy Aridio Perego-Saldana in November.
Since then, the first-time mother has connected to other new parents through her social media accounts to seek advice on general health and breastfeeding. She called motherhood “the most amazing experience” of her life in a long Facebook post. She also added that her body went through a lot of “physical trauma” during childbirth and “changed dramatically, inside and out.”
